The Big Thoughts Project
"The exuberant mind of a 20-something comes to the page as her existence is compiled of moment after moment of grandiose ideas." -The New Yorker (ugh if only!)
Rather, The Big Thoughts Project is my new sounding board. After 22 years of living in my own mind, I know that I require such the type of outlet as this as I think arguably too much, and romanticize things to the point of no return. So I share these grossly over-imagined moments in hope that someone will feel the same. Or, more likely, I'll be reminded that I may just be a little more eccentric than I previously knew.
I live for the moments where time slows. Moments of watching fields of grass whip past me as I watch them from a train window, or pressing my head against a cold window as I sober up from the city itself. These moments are frankly romanticized, cinematic, cliche, over-saturated, moments captured with a low shutter speed all put to the soundtrack from "Garden State", but they are the moments where my wisdom has developed, and I think big thoughts about small problems.
